Infrared vs. traditional sauna: choose the experience first.
Traditional and infrared saunas can both make compelling home installations, but they feel different and can place very different demands on your electrical system.

Choose infrared if…
You prefer radiant warmth, want a compact indoor cabin, or have a location where a lower-power product is easier to accommodate. Do not assume every infrared sauna is plug-and-play; large and custom systems can require substantial dedicated electrical service.
Choose traditional if…
The classic sauna environment is the entire point. Traditional electric heaters can deliver higher room temperatures and the familiar stone-heater experience. The tradeoff is that installation typically demands more electrical capacity.

There isn't a universal winner. The wrong question is “Which technology is better?” The useful question is “Which heat experience will I want to use several times a week, and what can my home support?”
